DatePick

Terms of service

Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms cover your use of DatePick: the DatePick Shopify app, the booking pages and storefront widgets it serves, and the DatePick staff app for iPhone and Android. “We” means the team that operates DatePick. “Merchant” means the Shopify store that installs the app, and “staff” means the people a merchant gives access to. By installing or using DatePick you agree to these terms.

1. The service

DatePick lets Shopify stores sell and manage appointments, rentals, classes and events: availability, booking pages, reminders, and the link between bookings and Shopify orders. We may add, change or remove features over time. When a change takes away something merchants rely on, we will say so in the app first.

2. Accounts and access

  • A merchant needs a Shopify store to install DatePick, and Shopify's own terms continue to apply to that store.
  • Staff sign in to the staff app with their email address and join a store only through an invitation from that store. The merchant decides who has access and what each person can see and do, and can remove access at any time.
  • Keep your sign-in email and devices secure. You are responsible for what is done through your account, and should tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • You can delete your staff app account from the app at any time. The store's bookings stay with the store.

3. Plans and billing

Every feature is available on every plan. Plans differ only in how many bookings and team members they include each month, as listed on our pricing page. Paid plans are charged through Shopify Billing on the merchant’s Shopify invoice, and Shopify’s billing terms apply to those charges, including refunds. A merchant can change or cancel a plan at any time from the app; uninstalling the app ends the subscription.

4. Bookings and payments

Each booking is an agreement between the merchant and their customer. The merchant sets the services, prices, deposits, cancellation rules and refunds, and is responsible for honouring them. Customer payments go through Shopify Checkout; DatePick never handles card details. We do not guarantee that a customer will turn up or pay, and we are not a party to disputes between a merchant and a customer.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use DatePick to:

  • break the law, or sell services that Shopify's acceptable use policy forbids;
  • send messages to people who have not agreed to receive them;
  • try to reach data or stores you have not been given access to, or interfere with the service or its security;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts other users at risk, and will tell the merchant why unless the law prevents it.

6. Your data

Merchants own their store, booking and customer data. We use it only to run the service, as described in our privacy policy. The merchant is responsible for having the right to collect the customer details and answers their booking forms ask for.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep DatePick running at all times, but the service is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control, including outages at Shopify or app stores. Notifications by email, SMS, WhatsApp or push depend on outside providers and are not guaranteed to arrive.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost bookings, revenue or profit. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the merchant paid us for DatePick in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending the service

A merchant can stop using DatePick at any time by uninstalling it. The store’s data is then deleted as described in the privacy policy. Staff lose access to a store when the merchant uninstalls the app or removes them. We may end the service for a store that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We will update this page when these terms change and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be notified to merchants in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use DatePick after that means you accept the new terms.
